Mentorship programme for leaders
Mentoring is about belief.
We all need someone who we can trust; not least when we find ourselves ‘stuck in a rut’ or ‘running out of steam’.
A fresh perspective always helps me. It’s also how I can grow into maturity. As the Roman Virgil said, experto credite – trust one who has gone through it.
Mentoring is also about hope. It is about having real hope, not religious hope within yourself. By the end of the session plan, I aim to help you build greater confidence in yourself to make more intuitive decisions.
What is a mentor?
A mentor is someone, as Richard Rohr says, who will helpfully ‘guide someone into their problems and through them’. It gives a safe space for you to be yourself without fear of ridicule and judgment.
A mentor is also a cheerleader. They will root for you and offer the best of themselves. They will empty their cup into yours to see the best version of yourself rise and flourish in ministry.
THEY WILL:
Listen
Transfer knowledge
Empathise
Guide and support
Train
Inspire
Motivate
Be a sounding board
Help goal set
Encourage
Pray
Be for you.
All this comes together to help you ‘go’ better. (Matt 28:19)
The plan
10 sessions, 2 people, 1 purpose
There is a free introductory session followed by 10 paid monthly sessions. Each one is an hour long and will take place at the same time each month. They are informal and hopefully become times that will energise you as well as fun and rewarding!
Sessions are online and use Microsoft Teams or if you prefer, Google Meet.
Three/four preparatory questions will be sent to you before we meet. Questions will range from your spiritual life to church life. Everything shared Is naturally held in confidence.
The introductory session is an exploratory time to get to know each other and to know if this is for you or not.
The cost
The good news is that I am able to offer a mentoring plan at a low price thanks to the support of my other arrangements.
So here’s the deal., each session is £30 an hour. As mentioned, the Introductory session is not treated as one of the 10 sessions and is a freebie. So already you’re winning!
Payment is expected each week we meet. Alternatively, you can pay the whole sum for the 10 sessions in advance. And out of my appreciation, I will give you 20% off the total amount. Payment is by Bacs only. (Bank details supplied.)
Here’s the tough bit but it needs saying. If find you are struggling to pay, chat with me. We might be able to find a way around the problem. There is more grace toward you than you think.
The ‘nitty gritty’
Unfortunately, the mentoring programme is only available to leaders in UK and Ireland at this time.
I partner with leaders across the main denominational structures, church streams, and independent churches, just as long as values and theology are orthodox and aligned with traditional faith.
Please accept there may be a waiting list due to demand, but I will always do my best for you. If I am unable to help, it might be possible to find another mentor, Our Father in Heaven knows what you need and when.
If you miss three appointments at the agreed time, I will assume this is not the right time for you and we will discontinue the mentoring.
I recognise there will be occasions when holidays and ‘life stuff’ will cut into planned regular meeting times, so I would ask you to give at least a week’s notice in advance. More if able.
